Charitable Giving Through Real Estate

The Charitable Giving Through Real Estate Program (CGTRE) is an exclusive and unique program created by Steve Sedgwick that has been designed to support local non-profit organizations with their fundraising efforts. The program has been structured to work within the Ethical Fundraising Guidelines providing an opportunity for registered non-profit organizations to realize a large boost to their existing fundraising efforts without further tasking their own resources.

The intention of this program is to invest in and increase community awareness in non-profit organizations who support families, children, and animals in the greater Edmonton area. We will coordinate a campaign to your groups people (administrators, volunteers, alumni, past donors, program users, etc.) encouraging them to consider utilizing the services of Steve Sedgwick when purchasing or selling real estate. The investment goal is accomplished when Sedgwick Realty Ltd. donates $1000 to a participating non-profit organization upon the completion of each eligible transaction. 

In giving to those who need support, the natural laws of reciprocation come in to play and provide the means to help others. Cooperation is the key to developing a win-win relationship that can provide a steady stream of funding from Sedgwick Realty Ltd. to a non-profit organization. As an example, if only 1% of any groups 1000 community members participate in the program, the organization will receive a $10,000 donation. 

In addition to the monetary benefits, we will also increase community awareness of the organization and the cause they support. This goal can easily be achieved through exposure to existing real estate clients and community members via a variety of mediums such as Sedgwick Realty Ltd. newsletters, advertisements and personal referrals. As the program builds momentum and more individuals participate, knowledge of the non-profit organization and their role played in our community will naturally grow.

A generous portion of Sedgwick Realty Ltd. revenues are donated to the organization to support their programs, events and services offered and we prefer to let those funds be used as each group deems best. The Charitable Giving Through Real Estate Program is available to all referred individuals who choose Steve Sedgwick to serve as their Realtor and at no additional cost.

The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation is dedicated to enhancing health services for children by raising money to support the Stollery Children’s Hospital and programs that promote health, prevent disease and treat illness. Funding provided by the Foundation supports health services for children through education, research, special services and acquisition of equipment.

Southside Mothers Day Out is a co-operative part-time childcare program. 
They offer a year-round (Sept-June), play-based/developmental program, directed and managed by parents in cooperation with professional teaching staff. 
Their program allows care-giving parents to pursue other activities one day a week, secure in the knowledge that their children are well cared for.
